National Brain Research Centre (NBRC) is going to select the Candidates through JGEEBILS , GATE 2013/GATE 2014 , JEST 2014 , CSIR (JRF) (Chemistry)(2013-14 batch) channels for Admissions to Ph.D and Integrated M.Sc - Ph.D Programmes for the year 2014. Interested Candidates have to apply Online before last date of submission. More detailed information of Ph.D and M.Sc Admission 2014 is mentioned below.
Candidates who have applied for following Examination would be Selected to get Admissions into Ph.D and Integrated M.Sc - Ph.D Programmes ..
1. Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS).
2. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2013/GATE 2014).
3. Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST-2014)
4. CSIR (JRF) (Chemistry)(2013-14 Batch).
Eligibility Criteria for Ph.D and Integrated M.Sc-Ph.d :
Educational Qualification :
1. For Admissions to Ph.D : Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/Computer applications/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/ Psychology from a recognized Institute/ University or a minimum of four-year Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering/Technology/Medicine from a recognized Institute/ University.
2. For Admissions to Integrated M.Sc-Ph.D :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences/ Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer applications/ Pharmacy/ Veterinary Science/ Psychology/ Engineering/ Technology/ Medicine from a recognized Institute/ University.
Note : Candidates appearing for final year of the Qualifying Examination are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process : Candidates will be shortlisted for a two tier Interview based on their Performance in the JGEEBILS Examination or their Score in the GATE Examination/JEST examination /CSIR (JRF) (Chemistry) examination, depending on the stream through which they have applied to NBRC.
How to Apply : Candidates can apply either through Online or Offline mode..
For Online Submission : Candidates are required to fillOnline application form through official website and make payment through Online payment gateway.
For Offline Submission : Candidates are required to download the Application form through official website, then take print out of application , fill the application in all respects and send it along with payment receipt to address given in notification.

Online Registration will commence on : 02nd September, 2013
Last date for Online submission : 20th October, 2013
Date of JGEEBILS Examination : 8th December, 2013
Application Opens at NBRC : 15th September, 2013
Last date for filling Online and Offline Application form : 16th December, 2013
Last date for receipt of both Online & Offline applications with demand draft at NBRC : 26th December, 2013
2. For GATE Aspirants :
Online Application opens for NBRC : 28th February, 2014
Last date for filling application form at NBRC : 15th April, 2014
Last date for receipt of Demand Draft at NBRC : 25th April, 2014
3. For JEST Aspirants :
Candidates are urged to regularly visit on www.jest.org.inbecause till now Admission procedure through JEST 2014 is not mentioned here yet.
